The Driftin Hoopies are all from the Weirton/Follansbee area. One member, Alan Sampson and his wife Susan are members of the Vineyard Church in Wheeling and have been part of the Vineyard Cafe team since the cafe was started in January of 2007. Both Alan and Susan have performed at the Vineyard Cafe's Open Mic Nite. Alan will be joined by his cousin Larry Santee and some other friends for a big night of foot stomping hillbilly redneck hoppie country music. The band features Joe Minor on steel guitar, Larry Santee on lead guitar, John Gerrard on drums, Paul Toothman on base guitar and Alan Sampson, Sonny Crawford, Jeff Wise and Mike Longwell on rhythm guitar.
